CRITIC!

A poem by Abid A. Kazi

CRITIC!

Everyone has a right to criticize from his point of view,

Before calling shots it’s good to review.

We may have been created equal yet very apart,

As the thought varies from smart to smart.

We have pent-up emotions within the heart sealed,

To be in right environment, sooner or later released.

Each one of us be right the way his thought expressed,

How many will agree or every one be impressed.

Critics often think they are generous and kind,

But only in their own point of view truth they find.

Failure is an option which is only a grand-stand,

Knock, knock, and knock the door if you understand.

Let others express their thoughts without dogma insight,

We have words to write which sometimes be not right.

Right criticism is welcomed healthy without prejudice mace,

Thought process does have bearing from our living base.

The Limit! By Abid A. Kazi

THE LIMIT!

Who we are and what’s our aim in this world,

We cross our boundaries to conquer other’s world.

Tempest and fury we raise to destroy only to be victor.

Why do we take such measures without any factor?

Knowing that nothing in this universe is forever,

We forget our limits and build castles to stay forever.

Some call themselves blue blood and some royals,

We are all slaves of our Creator who keeps all the files.

What we do or hear remains with us till end,

And all our voices stay with us till the end.

Do the best we can with love and care we know,

None is guaranteed to see next moment before one has to go.

Age is number inching towards the end in sight,

We destroy others to make our own future bright.

What good will be this world where fittest can only survive,

Can’t we pledge today in our own word to help every one survive.

Know your limits and stay within the norm,

Promise if you can’t share love at least do not harm.

A RED-INDIAN PRAYER

A RED-INDIAN PRAYER

O’ Great Spirit [God],
Whose voice I hear in the winds,
And whose breath gives life to all the world,
hear me! I am small and weak,
I need your strength and wisdom.

Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes
ever behold the red and purple sunset.

Make my hands respect the things you have
made and my ears sharp to hear your voice.

Make me wise so that I may understand the
things you have taught my people.

Let me learn the lessons you have hidden
in every leaf and rock.

I seek strength, not to be greater than my
brother, but to fight my greatest
enemy–myself.

Make me always ready to come to you with
clean hands and straight eyes.

So when life fades, as the fading sunset,
my spirit may come to you
without shame.

Woman!

A poem by Abid A. Kazi

WOMAN!

An embodiment of compromises and submission

If dealt properly she is always on a mission

Wondering how much strength and love she shares

We must be willing to give hundred percent in care

She carries all the pain and sufferings to bring prophets, saints and all

Her generosity is above anything yet has often faces lots of fall

She always likes to please one and all

She is mostly humble and ready to honor the call

Why we see woman as models to sell things people buy

Sometime society’s norms are traded for selling things for guys

We must not forget that we are intertwined in many ways

Mother, sister and wives and other relations everyday

It’s a shame that men has made her a piece of display

Have we lost our morality in many ways?

Man and woman are two pieces of puzzle from the day of inception

We must give woman her true dignity without causing any corruption
